Gordian III, 238-244. Medallion (Copper, 25 mm, 11.00 g, 1 h), Rome, 241. IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Gordian III to right, seen from behind. Rev. PONTIFEX MAX TR P IIII / COS II P P Gordian standing to left in quadriga moving slowly to left, holding branch in his right hand and eagle-tipped scepter in his left, being crowned by Victory standing behind him in chariot; to left, Virtus advancing left, leading the horses with her left hand and holding spear in her right.
